The Ledger and certificates

A dated record of your idea, exactly as it was. Ideas change, and months later it is easy to lose track of what you had and when. The Ledger keeps a permanent record.

What the Ledger stores

Every check inside a project writes one entry: the full text of your idea, the date and time (UTC), the assessment, and a digital fingerprint of that exact text. Entries are permanent. They cannot be edited afterwards — not by you, and not from the app.

The fingerprint

The fingerprint is a SHA-256 hash: a code calculated from every character of your text. Change a single letter or a single space and the fingerprint comes out completely different. That is what makes it useful — it pins down precisely what you wrote.

Certificates

Any Ledger entry can produce a one-page certificate. It shows the project name, the date and time, the full fingerprint, a certificate ID, the assessment summary, and a link anyone can use to check it.

Your idea itself never appears on the certificate. You can share the certificate without revealing what you are working on.

Anyone can check it, without trusting us

A public verification page confirms that a certificate ID matches a real Ledger entry, with no account needed. It never shows the idea text, and it cannot be used to browse or search other people’s entries.

You do not have to take our word for the fingerprint, either. The certificate includes simple instructions for recalculating it yourself on any computer, from your own copy of the text. If your copy produces the same fingerprint, it is the same text, character for character.

What a certificate says, and what it does not

A certificate shows that this exact text existed in Synorigin’s Ledger at this date and time. It does not establish who authored an idea, who had it first, or any legal outcome, and it is not legal advice. Think of it as a dated, tamper-evident record you can point to — nothing more, and nothing less.
