Checking it yourself

This page confirms a record exists and shows the fingerprint stored with it. You do not have to take that on trust — the fingerprint is a standard SHA-256 hash, so it can be reproduced independently, without Synorigin, using tools already on any computer.

  1. Take the original text exactly as it was submitted, with nothing changed.
  2. On macOS or Linux run shasum -a 256 yourfile.txt, or on Windows Get-FileHash yourfile.txt -Algorithm SHA256.
  3. Compare the result with the fingerprint shown above. A single altered character produces a completely different hash.

A match shows that this exact text existed at the recorded time. It does not by itself establish authorship or resolve a dispute, and it is not legal advice.
